Cupcake Potholder

With the left over fabric from the apron I made a potholder! The best part is that I used my embroidery machine to add an applique cupcake. My first attempt at machine applique! Here I have pinned it to the apron for a full view. I used the same detail of rick-rack along the edge.

Here is a close up. The only thing I'm not happy with is the rough edge of fabric that is around the applique. I think I need special scissors for that! Diana
