New Life for a Feeder!

My Uncle found these old chicken feeders in an old shed at his new house here in Ohio. Because I have chickens, he offered them to me. But since my chickens have outgrown that style of feeder, I thought there might be something else I could do with them. They were rusty and covered in, well, let's just say....chicken by products. After looking at them for a bit, this was what I came up with. So after a good washing and tons of spray paint, (TONS OF SPRAY PAINT!!!!) I had an adorable candy dish, filled with candy corn of course!!!

I'm Thinking Ahead!!

For this Halloween card, I was inspired by a card Donna at Popsicle Toes did. The tree and bats are from Paperdolls and the sentiment is computer generated. The eyes are gogglely eyes and quite small (and hard to find!). Inked the edges and popped the sentiment and that's it. Diana

Quilt Cards

I came up with these cards when I saw the quilt paper on Hugbug!! I printed it and then scored it to look like it was quilted. Then I punched the eyelet edges. The "Friend" is heat embossed (new toy) and popped with foam tape. Diana

This card may be familiar to those who got their card magazines this month!! It is on the cover of one of them. Of course I changed it around a bit. The flowers are from Martha Stewart and the eyelet is from an edge punch. I liked the blue and black color combo. Diana

odin and layla's card

Each character represented a certain person in the room. Mostly it was just for the fun of cutting out the shapes. SO MUCH FUN. Fifteen year old Layla was hooked before she even got started.

When Pigs Fly!!!

Who says pigs can't fly! With a little creativity, they can! The pig is from Animal kingdom and the wings are from Paperdolls. The clouds are from Hello kitty. I attached the pig (after a little layering) to the card using a spring so it wiggles just a bit. The sentiment was stamped on the front and computer generated on the inside. Glitter on the wings and a little outlining in pink ink. I did discover I could fast dry the glitter with my new heat gun!! Yea!!! Diana

Pioneer Day

I just made this card as a thank you for the young woman who organized our ward Pioneer Day Celebration. I hope you can see all the layering. I used the wagon from Paperdolls cart. I also shaded with ink. Diana

Mother's Work Card

I have been wanting to do something with chickens and found this set in the My Community cartridge!! Check out the apron! I used the computer to print the sentiment, then punch it with a 1 1/4 circle punch on top of a 1 1/2 scallop on thop of a 1 1/2 circle. I hand drew the features on the chickens and used foam tape to pop the layers. A little inking to soften the edges and that's all there is to it. Diana

New Arrival Card

I got the New Arrival cart especially for this tub image! Don't you love it! The blue stripe is from Debbie Mumm (Darlene, it is that packet we picked up in Joanns). Of course I used alot of foam tape to give it layers. The sentiment is stamped using provocraft alphabet stamps I got on sale for only $3.00!! Happy day!! Diana
