Birthday Cards for Odin and Ronan

Here are the two cards I made today, both for grandsons. I used Design Studio for both and really loved it. It is so cool to weld the shadows together. The first card uses images from Doodle Charms and Wildcard. The second uses Doodle Charms and Walk in My Garden. You can't tell but I popped all the layers on both with foam tape. Diana

Grad Card

Today, when we got home from working at the Temple, we received a graduation announcement from our niece Alex. I can't believe she is already old enough to graduate!! Even though it was getting late, I knew I had to design something special for her. This card is 7 x 7 (where am I going to find an envelope to fit it???) and was done in design studio. I welded Wildcard grad hat (I had to cut off the extra flap) and Home Accents frame for the shadow in black. Then I cut out the sentiment and hat from WC and the smaller pink frame from HA. The covered button adds a little dimension. I am really loving design studio for the amazing possibilities it gives me! Now if I could just find the time to play with it more. Diana

Skull Box

I made this little box in almost no time. The box is available at walmart and is made of sturdy cardboard. Pink and black seemed the obvious choice for the skull theme. The outside of the box is completely covered in cordstock. I cut out the skull three times, twice in black and once in pink. Foam tape to pop each layer which were offset just a bit. For the top layer, I cut off the cross bones and just used the skull. The layered skull and cross bones were then placed on the pink and black frame which was also popped with foam tape. Black inked all the edges.
You can see the foam tape I used to pop the layers from this angle.

For a bit of a surprise, I put the small skull inside the box. I don't know what it is about these skulls that I like so much but I am not the only one caught up in it. They are everywhere! Diana

Jenn and Abby's post it note holders

Jenn and her kids decided to make these cute post it note holders for all their teachers (seven). (I wish I had gotten a picture after she added the bows to the binding). Abby was a big help picking out paper, glueing and using the zutter. The monograms and themes were individually chosen for each teacher so they are very personal and sure to be appreciated! Too cute!!!!

Two Birthday Cards

Here are the birthday cards I made for the twins (Phoebe and Chloe). The cake one drove me crazy. Just couldn't get it right. Some of the dots are popped out with foam tape as is the cake. The black and pink card was a happy accident, in that it was an accident it came out as well as it did, because it sure wasn't planned to turn out like it did. Guess I was just having one of those days. But I heard the girls liked them so all turned out well in the end. Diana

Happy Birthday Mark

This was a fun card to do. Each word is cropped, inked and glued to a larger paper. Then it is embossed. Happy Birthday son. Diana

Mother's Day Card

Because Mom's computer is down, I can post this card early. The coolest part of this card was using Design Studio to weld the Mom shadow. Took some trial and error. Happy Mother's Day everyone!! Diana
