Visiting Teaching Handouts and Gifts

Next month we are having a RS party and my mom and I have been put in charge of displaying inexpensive gifts for our visiting teaching sisters. So for the next few weeks I will be working on some samples. So excited! A reason to craft!
Here are three items I made this morning, On the right is a "Sisters in Zion" candle, in the center is a cute little Easter Basket and on the left are some tea candles in cute packaging.
This Easter Basket starts with a paper basket from the dollar store. I used my cricut to cut out the bunny, which I layered with foam tape.
It is filled with paper grass and a Cadbury egg. The egg is wrapped in tissue paper and a paper and ribbon band. Here you can see the candy.....yum.
This candle is made by stamping an image on tissue paper and applying it to the candle using a heat gun and brayer. Card stock is cut into a one inch band for around the candle and is tied with a ribbon. I put the candle on a card stock decorative base to bring in more color.
These tea lights are made in a similar way. Images are stamped onto tissue paper. These are then cut out and laid on the top of the candles (a small hole is punched in the center to allow the wick to stick through), The heat gun is applied briefly to embed the tissue paper and then the candles are allowed to cool.
I used pretzel bags from wiltons to package the tea lights.
Using the same flower stamp, I made a tag to personalize the gift. Tied the end with a coordinating ribbon and cut off the bag to make it more in proportion. Love this!!! Stay tuned for more ideas! Diana

Birthday Girl

This card is so fashionista! Glitter pink background and alligator embossed swatches is so girly. I also used a tag that says Birthday Girl that is crimped to the ribbon detail. Some rhinestones and inking to finish it off. Diana

New Beginnings Invitations

The Woman You'll Someday Be......that was the theme for our ward's New Beginnings this year. Rhoda was in charge and together we came up with this sweet invite. We used A Child's Year and some glittery paper. So cute. Diana

More Valentines

I put together some handouts for church on Valentine's Day next week. These are pretty little plastic hearts filled with pink, white and red M&Ms. They are then wrapped in netting and tied with a ribbon and tag.
This is an idea I saw on another website. I made these Chocolate Survival Kits for .....I can't tell cuz they might see this site and it would ruin the surprise!!
These are plastic divided hobby containers. I decorated the tops with sweet paper, ribbon and hearts.
Inside I filled them with an assortment of chocolate. I wouldn't mind getting one of these! Diana

Monkey Business Valentine

Here is the next treasure chest valentine. Again for a little boy, so no pink and no hearts. The monkey is a die from cuttlekids and the palm tree is from Paperdolls. I loved the paper!!! Check out the monkeys around the sides.

I filled the box with candy from an amish bulk store just a short drive from my house. (LOVE OHIO)
