Visiting Teaching Handouts and Gifts

Next month we are having a RS party and my mom and I have been put in charge of displaying inexpensive gifts for our visiting teaching sisters. So for the next few weeks I will be working on some samples. So excited! A reason to craft!
Here are three items I made this morning, On the right is a "Sisters in Zion" candle, in the center is a cute little Easter Basket and on the left are some tea candles in cute packaging.
This Easter Basket starts with a paper basket from the dollar store. I used my cricut to cut out the bunny, which I layered with foam tape.
It is filled with paper grass and a Cadbury egg. The egg is wrapped in tissue paper and a paper and ribbon band. Here you can see the candy.....yum.
This candle is made by stamping an image on tissue paper and applying it to the candle using a heat gun and brayer. Card stock is cut into a one inch band for around the candle and is tied with a ribbon. I put the candle on a card stock decorative base to bring in more color.
These tea lights are made in a similar way. Images are stamped onto tissue paper. These are then cut out and laid on the top of the candles (a small hole is punched in the center to allow the wick to stick through), The heat gun is applied briefly to embed the tissue paper and then the candles are allowed to cool.
I used pretzel bags from wiltons to package the tea lights.
Using the same flower stamp, I made a tag to personalize the gift. Tied the end with a coordinating ribbon and cut off the bag to make it more in proportion. Love this!!! Stay tuned for more ideas! Diana
