The crown is from Graphics Fairy. I fussy cut it out and mod podged in on the painted top.
The clay flower pot I chose was really pretty (Goodwill) and the disk I used was from the craft store. In addition to giving the whole thing a couple coats of white paint, I cut tiny strips of scrapbook paper and mod podged it on the edge of the disk. Once dried, I sprayed a few coats of flat sealer on so I can sponge clean the stand. I now have the sweetest little stand for cupcakes or whatever! Diana
This is adorable! What a great idea! And I love the crown of course....The Graphics Fairy is amazing! I love perusing her blog for inspiration. Unfortunately I spend more time looking at images with the intention of crafting than I do actually crafting! Good for you for jumping on that crafting urge when it came...even if it was late at night! Best Wishes - Amanda

One of my cupcakes would look adorable on a stand like this. Thanks for sharing this great project.

I totally get the need to create even if the clock says it's late! Really neat take on the idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great stand!! The crown looks great on there! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's very adorable. I can feel the excitement that ran through you, that made you have to do it at 10:30 at night. A true crafter.

That is so cute! I love how versatile this project is. So many color and print possibilities. Thanks for linking it up to my party! :)
ReplyDeleteThis turned out great! Saw you over at the Graphics Fairy.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!! Love the way this turned out, and the thrifting involved! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I have a little wood disk that I just bought and was going to have to return (it ended up being too small to fit under my homemade cloche/nest project). I also have leftover mini pots from a Girl Scout troop project. Thank you for the inspiration! Robyn
