Retro Potholder

Can you believe this potholder I just made!!!!! I found the most adorable stand mixer machine embroidery file here and it was a near perfect match to the fabric I made all the aprons out of!!!
Using scraps I did court house steps around the white center. I quilted in the ditch. Be sure and use your hopping foot to keep the fabric sandwich from shifting!

Then I used tiny black bias tape to finish it off.

Here is a view of the back. I plan on adding this pot holder to one of the aprons as a gift set! Diana

  1. That is so cute! I love the red and black colors. It just needs an actual red stand mixer to match.

  2. This is soo stinkin' cute!! And I'm jealous at the bias tape binding. I tried that once and it was Horrible!!! (Not the bias tape, just my ability to bind the edge of a potholder with it!) Thanks for sharing :)
